In the last 4 games as of January 30th the Orlando magic are 0-4 and have gotten outscored 364-304 which is an average of losing by 15 each game. Now most people are asking right now, "Dwight Howard was hurt right?" Well, not exactly. Because Dwight is in the last year of his contract in Orlando, and the Magic haven't made any moves to work toward keeping Dwight; Dwight wants to leave the team. At first, he said he wanted to stay and then he said he wanted to be traded. What was funny to me was that he said he singled out the Lakers, the Mavs and the Nets and said he wanted to be traded there. These teams are among the best in the league and they would be having to give up a lot to get him. The Lakers would have to give up Bynum and Gasol (who I don't think are very good) and the Mavs would have to clear a TON of cap space to earn him a roster spot. Then he said he wanted to join the Clippers which is a little late because they already have the best dunker in the NBA Blake Griffin and an up-and-coming star in Deandre Jordan. All of the talk swirling around the Magic might end up taking away a playoff birth, or even turn into a Shaq scenario where the Magic get nothing in return. My prediction is that Dwight will be traded to the Lakers for Bynum and Gasol before the deadline and the Lakers will end up taking the 3 seed in the West. Whatever happens, the Magic better clean it up in the short term. Good luck Dwight.
